Article about a one way mission to Mars. I think it sounds AWESOME! But I am a space geek.
The stupid people in the comments though. Of course if its SUCCESSFUL they will send more poeple and eventually it will probably be possible for a return trip in the future…but you need to have someone to start this and be willing to take the risk even if there is a chance of failure, the point of the article is we need to change our mindset – we have to prepare for the fact that it might not be successful. NASA is all about getting everyone home safely once the mission is complete. This idea says ‘lets forget that’ lets get the person there, doing a job, and continue doing it indefinately if possible.
Also – WOO I hope I get to see it next year! The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival! I wish we had something similar in oz. T.T
