Column 8 sillies

these were in Column 8 of todays Sydney Morning Herald.

The Jones family, of Thornleigh, has received from Mayer Festal, of New Jersey, a selection of bumper stickers:

Don’t blame me – I voted for Gore – I think.
If God meant us to vote, He would have given us candidates.
My parents retired to Florida and all I got was this lousy president.
Don’t throw away your vote . . . let Katherine Harris do it for you.
Bush trusts the people, but not if it involves counting.
One person, one vote (may not apply in certain States).
The election can’t be broken. We just fixed it.
The last time somebody listened to a Bush, folks wandered in the desert for 40 years.

This has every chance of being an email hoax – received by Richard Bolt, of Wollstonecraft, and claiming to be a prediction by Nostradamus in 1555:

Come the millennium, month 12,
In the home of greatest power,
The village idiot will come forth
To be acclaimed the leader.
