Well apart from hearing about it on the morning show on Triple J and finding this page<\/a> with comments about it (5th September’s first item) I haven’t been able to find any other news sites with info about fighting in West Papua between independence supporters and police, yesterday. If anyone has seen any other websites with news about this, please email me. I wanna know more about it.
\nI would like to suggest that Indonesia just lets all the little areas that want independence have it. Then you wouldn’t have all the nasty fights all the time. And then if their economys goes belly-up or something else goes bad…they may came running home to you. Stop being dicks and pissing everyone off.
\nWouldn’t I make an amazing diplomat? I could solve the worlds problems in minutes. But they have to take my decision as final – no arguements.<\/p>\n

I will try and find more links about this if I can. This sort of crap pisses me off and it makes me even more peeved when main stream media ignore thses things as well.<\/p>\n

\nThere’re reports tonight of running street battles in the West Papua city of Manokwari on the north coast of the island. The reports say the battle is between Mobile Brigade police and independence supporters brandishing bows and arrows. John Rumbiak, a spokesman for the human rights organisation, ELSHAM, says the shooting began about nine am, and was still continuing just before we went to air. Mr Rumbiak told Andrew Kilvert the shooting began after police forced independence supporters to lower their flag.<\/font><\/p>\n
