Fangirl time.
\nAs you might know – I tend to get obsessed with ships in different fandoms.<\/p>\n

If you dont know what a ship is – its pairing up of two characters whether it actually happens in the book\/tv series\/movie\/comic\/etc or not. For example to me it was ALWAYS obvious that JKR was going to pair up Hermione and Ron, but right down to the last book there were fangirls going psycho on the internet because they shipped<\/em> Harry and Hermione and were sure <\/em>it was going to happen.<\/p>\n

Back when I started reading Harry Potter fanfic I read almost any ship you can think of (boy\/girl, boy\/boy, girl\/girl, person\/non-person….lets not discuss that too much..it was a weird time) but my favourite pairing was Draco and Ginny and STILL IS! \ud83d\ude00
\nEarlier this year…as one of my older posts shows<\/a> – after seeing X-Men:first Class I became obsessed with Charles and Erik, and still am.<\/p>\n

The newest addition to the ‘omgawd i love it’ pairings is Tony and Steve aka IronMan and Captain America.
\nMaybe the way other people came to this isnt weird coz they have read the comics and read slash onto things from waaaaaay back. But me – it took a picture.
\nI loved IronMan (#2 too wasnt as good but still RDJ as Tony floats my boat any day). But I hadnt even seen Captain America or Thor.<\/p>\n

On Tumblr a lot of the people I follow who are into the Erik\/Charles pairing were also going mental over Thor and Captain America…I wasnt even vaguely interested till the buzz about the Avengers started.<\/p>\n

Anyways so i knew people slashed Tony and Steve but it was just something I scrolled over on Tumblr…till one day i saw this fanart with the text accompanying it:<\/p>\n

Steve and Tony, when not superheroing, often just hang out in Tony\u2019s workshop, and do what they love doing: Tony tinkers with one of his million projects, and Steve draws. Tony used to just have either Thor or Steve around in the shop as a general rule, in case some stubborn bolt or nut called for extra muscle. One day Tony was going to work on his vintage bike restoration, which needed more delicacy than brawn, but Steve went down to the shop with him anyway.<\/p>\n

It was so adorable and it made me smile and so after that any fanart I saw for them I just had <\/em>to look at.
\nI even made an effort and watched Thor and Captain America. Turns out I think Thor is a douchebag and I agree with everyone on Tumblr – Loki is awesome. And while I liked certain moments<\/em> in Captain America…I didnt think it was a great film. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

Then the Avengers trailer came out and one of my fave Charles\/Erik fic authors<\/a> (who had been writing this epic AU fic of the boys and so i was following) had a mental break and wrote this AMAZING fic<\/a> (warnings for porny boys getting it on shenanigans) to explain how Tony and Steve went from being all ‘big man in suit – without that what are you’ snarlies to being IN LOVE.<\/p>\n
