Have you guys heard of ball-jointed dolls (BJDs)? They are these AMAZINGLY gorgeous dolls that are available from Japan and Korea.
\nI believe the first company to produce them was VOLKS<\/a> and their dolls are called dollfies, though you will find many people refer to all BJDs as dollfies. They have some gorgeous dolls (I love the SD 13 ones!) but the japanese site only accepts credit card or wire transfers, plus they are a tad more expensive than some of the other sites for what you get. There is now also a VOLKS USA<\/a> site but it only accepts orders from the USA, Canada and Mexico. No good for us aussies!
\nI know of three other sites but I am sure I have heard of one other. There is LUTS<\/a> (Korean – has a few nice dolls that I like), ainai<\/a> (Korean – I havent yet found a doll I like on this one but they accept Paypal) and Dream of Doll<\/a> (Korean, accepts Paypal and is my current favourite!).<\/p>\n

Above are pictures of 2 dolls from Dream of Doll<\/a>. They are part of the Dream of Teenager (DOT)<\/a> group (girls – 60cm long, boys 64cm long) They are both boys. You may not think so to look at them, but they make these dolls BEAUTIFUL whether they are male or female.
\nI have wanted a BJD for ages but have decided if I can save enough to order one before my birthday I am going to get one.
\nUp until last week the ONLY one I wanted was Lahoo<\/a> – i love his hooded eyes (you can buy the bodies and heads seperately when they are in stock so you COULD get a girls body with Lahoos head). But just last week they released 2 new DOTs – Sha<\/a> and Tender Shall<\/a> (Shall is a girl and her eyes are so hooded they are almost closed….). Shas eyes are a little bit hooded, but more so than the other 2 original DOTs, and his face is appealling to me also. So now I am wavering between which one to get.
\nI also plan to buy at least 1 extra wig, another set of eyes amd some clothes (because sadly the dolls dont come in the gorgeous outfits they are wearing in the pics featured on the site) so all up it will come to at least US$800, maybe $900. But if I can even just order the doll by my birthday and get the rest later I will be more than happy.<\/p>\n
