at work i sometimes get this magazine called Information Week (which seems to come out monthly…that always amuses me). woah – i just looked at the price – its $9.95 an issue.
\nwe dont seem to have it on our system so its not something that the office is subscribing to and just giving to me.
\nit even is mailed directly TO me – Rebecca Jordan \/ IT Manager \/ company \/ company address.

yes – i am called the systems admin person here – but thats just a glorified title for the person who works in a Help Desk capacity here. all i do is fiddle around with a comp if it isnt working right till it does and if that doesnt work – i ask america. i get the exciting job of shifting pcs when people move desks. i get the excitement of making sure our server gets backed up each week day. i also get to set up new profiles and email addresses for newbies starting here
\nits a thrilling job which is just an extra thing i do besides my normal job. <\/p>\n
i am not an IT manager. i have no control over what machines or software or other stuff that runs our network. so all you schmucks calling to do surveys and stuff – DONT! call Birmingham GOD DAMNIT AND LEAVE ME ALONE!<\/p>\n
anyways – i think i should start mailing the mag back to the publisher and ask them why they are sending it to me.<\/p>\n
