terrorists at the Munich Olympics<\/a>. I knew Israeli’s were killed but I didnt know how many or really many details, just that it was something pretty awful that had happened. So the doco was a nice bit of education.<\/p>\nIt just baffled me how stupid the police forces were during the whole thing. I dont know, maybe the idea of people doing scary shit like that seems not THAT out of left field in this day and age…but it was the middle of the Cold War then – wouldnt most western countries have had all sorts of security measures and stuff for people trying to do fucked up shit like that? It was just awful to watch.

At times when I see Israel blowing up parts of Palestine as retaliation for stuff I feel sorry for them, but then you can look at incidents like the Munich Olympics and the continuing suicide bombers killing innocent people and you sort of can understand why Israel is so determined to fight back at anyone who comes at them.<\/p>\n
That doesnt mean I like it. I hate what both sides continue to do to each other.<\/p>\n
I wish I could stick my head in the sand and just ignore the world.<\/p>\n
