i have to whinge. yes – i know its a shocking change from my regular blogging but you’ll just have to deal! ^-^
\ndoes anyone watch the fantabulous Kumars at No. 42? that show is the funny! i love it. i first caught an episode of it when we were in england of dec 2001. when it came on aussie ABC i was happy. for those who arent from oz – aussie ABC is the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. its funded by the government and has no commercials unless its about their own shows or about the radio stations they have (like triple j). its coolness as a free to air station is only beat by the brilliance that is SBS. SBS has commercials but they have them inbetween shows instead of in the middle of shows. good stuff. i love SBS! especially when they put on japanese movies! ^-^
\nanyways – the rest of our free to air stations are all evil commerical monsters owned by either Rupert Murdoch or Kerry Packer. scariness. so channel 9 has decided to rip off the idea of the Kumars by getting this aussie Greek comedian who does this totally over the top character called Effie<\/a> to do a show called Greeks on the Roof and the idea of the show is just soooooo original! Effie will interview celebrities and whatnot and her interfering Greek family will be there to make it a living hell for her and the guests! YAY! Effie can be quite amusing at times but this is such a blatant rip off i feel like throwing up!<\/p>\n
