but quite a few places in nsw are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/news\/0112\/26\/national\/national104.html\">on fire<\/a>. i live in the blue mountains and quite a few suburbs have lost houses but so far it hasnt reached our street &#8211; though i did look out my window about 5 minutes ago with my light off and off to the right but still fairly far away i could see a fairly bright orange haze. the night before i could see a faint orange haze when i looked outside and across the street, so its either coming over the valleys and ridges closer to us or is coming up from yarramundi.<\/p>\n<p>i am not panicking. last time we had a big &#8216;half of nsw on fire&#8217; blaze back in 94 me and emma had a bags packed and ready to go and the closest we got to the fire was some firemen doing backburning down our backyard and that was it. our backyard has nothing but a big lot of grass and rock between the house and the closest lot of gum trees and also the side of our house is good to access down behind everyones houses so i think if the fires come our way we&#8217;ll have a nice spot for the firemen to protect the place from.<\/p>\n<p>but anyways i went and saw the Fellowship of the Ring again today and emma was at work so there was no one here at the house and i worried the whole time i was gone, so me and emma are planning to try and have someone here all the time till the fires die down &#8211;
