in other news – monday night my sister had a close encounter with death…
\ni missed the whole thing because i was still on my way home from work.
\nemma was trying to light our gas heater and she kept pressing the button for it but the thing wouldnt ignite. the cat was being a moron and jumped on the top part of the heater meowing at emma for attention. so on about the 4th try emma had bent down to look at the inside of it and the thing ignited….but the inside of the fire had been filling with gas from the previous attempts and a blue flame came out of the edges of the glass front piece and scared the shit out of emma and the cat. emma’s hair also got singed. (is that how you spell that?)
\ncat in usual style went flying out of the room. and according to dad emma said something like fuck or oh shit – as you do – and then called out to him. even though the thing went poof, where dad was it wasnt very loud so he had no idea what was going on. and emma was stunned and going ‘fire….the fire!’
\npoor lil’ em. when he came out she was going ‘do i still have hair?’ and supposedly the whole house had the smell of burnt hair…i am told it was not pleasant.<\/p>\n
