at my work – yesterday now – they had a staff meeting in the morning and the place is being restructured. 2 people got made redundant (which isnt bad out of an office of less than 30 people but it still sucks for the people who left) and instead of 80% of the staff working individually the whole place is being restructured into teams of people so hopefully the workload for things can be shared.<\/p>\n
\nthe section i am in wont be much different – we already knew we were going to be getting an automated system sometime soon to help make our jobs a bit easier and the girl who i work with and is essentially the head of our section thinks we might get someone assigned to our section with the restructure but we dont know for sure.<\/p>\n
\nmost of the stufff they are planning sounds pretty good, though the girls who do the coding that sit near us are being moved to another part of the office so we wont be having ‘special occasion chocolate covered strawberries’ anymore! \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n
but yeah – they are starting the implementation of this all in the next few days – though the entire process is gonna take a few months at least.<\/p>\n
\nalso till the staff meeting this morning only the about 7 people in the office knew anything about it. though us kids in our part of the office had an inkling something<\/i> was gonna happen wednesday because of a comment the head coding lady said to one of the other coders – but we had no idea it would be such a major change.<\/p>\nShare this:<\/h3>
