And so I have been youtubering again (seriously - its a verb!) and just looking at random stuff.

I like Muses music but I havent been 'zomgawd love them must KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM AND READ/SEE EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW' as you do...or I do at times (haha), but I've been checking out stuff a bit more about them and paying more attention to their posts on Twitter and stuff.
Seriously, up until last week I had only ever seen the music video for Uprising and the live vid of Supermassive Black Hole on the Twilight dvd. O.o

Anyways so I was just looking at goofy stuff on youtube and I got to see the whole clip of when Muse performed on some italian show last year where they were told they HAD to lipsync. gawd it cracked me up. I saw a snippet of it on some interview last week but its hysterical watching the whole thing. Dom can barely keep a straight face and Matt is just goofing off on the drums. Brill!

Yup - I like Glee. Most of the characters annoy the hell out of me but the music keeps me watching! In fact the only character I whole heartedly love is Sue coz she is just pure evil and fun!
Anyways we are an episode or two behind here in Australia so we only just saw the ep with Kristen Chenoweth (ZOMGAWD!!!!!!!!!).

Just some randomness coz I was listening to this song on the musicals playlist on my ipod today.

In 2001 I started my job at the place i quit from last November and am now back there as a casual trying to earn zee cash to return to Canada yo!
ANYWAYS so the chick I worked with and was my direct supervisor, Sarah, was CRAZY into musicals. She got me into Notre Dame de Paris (which I got to go see at the end of 2001 when my famiy went to Paris for 4 days - i cant tell you how stoked i was about that! I got all teary and when the overture starts - well i cant listen to it even now without getting that huge emotional overload. it was GREAT!), and she had told me about this new show they had on in Paris - Romeo et Juliette (one guess what its about people).
Now when we got to Paris I hadnt heard any of the songs even though Sarah had talked about it, but one of the days me and my sister were watching a music channel (i was hoping to see Garou who was in the original show of Notre Dame de Paris and who had released an album and was a tad popularat the time) and i didnt see the start with the name of the song but the below song came on and I was SURE it was from the Romeo et Juliette show. I also heard it on the radio the next day at breakfast so that helped it stick in my brain so i would recognise it again if i heard it.
Turned out I was right! Its called Les ROis du Monde (Kings of the World).
I ended up buying one of the recordings of the show (not the entire show) just for that song. I have barely even listened to the rest!

Anyways so this was the video I saw originally.

I did find another version on youtube that had better sound but the picture quality was poorer.

The only lyric apart from the name of the song i could translate on my own was where they sing 'jour apres jour, nuit apres nuit' (day after day, night after night). haha

i definately think obama did waaaay better with the 'Why is your economic plan better than your opponents?' question. and he is ready to say when he agrees with stuff mccain is planning, but mccain doesnt do that.
haha - i just noticed obamas tie is red (well maroony), mccains tie looks blue (though it MIGHT be purple perhaps). something is wrong with this picture! lols!!

i dont dislike what he is saying but mccain just sounds more desperate and a bit flustered as he talks....while obama is super smooth!

but again - if you like McCain you gonna say 'he did great', if you like Obama you're gonna say the same.

Okay so before i start commenting I have a feeling i may be a little bit more biased with this one. I dont know for sure. I plan to TRY but I really like how Obama talks about stuff so I have a bit of a soft spot for the guy. And I cant even think of one thing where i have really paid attention to McCain (oh dear.....) so yeah. I apologise if i get all Obama happy on you all! Please dont hate me Republicans!

first question - where do you stand on the recovery...i thought they both say nice things first up but did mccain ANSWER??? i liked what he said about the greedy lil money makers taking responsibility and being held accountable. but obama - you rock....i agree with you too - they should have accountability even when things are going well, not just during a crisis.

fundamental differences on how to solve the financial crisis. the wasteful spending on is it earmarks?? that mccain wants to cut back on sounds good, but the tax cuts obama wants to do for the lil people instead of the big money makers sounds good too. cant you both do those? :D
what the heck is pork barrel spending? ah thanks wikipedia.

i agree with Obama that they shouldnt have gone into Iraq. Iraq is such a touchy subject. i dont like the war at all but as long as troops are there you gotta support them.
omgawd so funny - obama is talking right at mccain about where he was wrong about stuff in iraq and mccain is refusing to look at him. lols

in fact Obama is more willing to look straight at McCain and say stuff but mcCain never does it back. makes him look a bit wimpy i think.

okay its really frustrating me the way McCain always takes something Obama says and goes 'look he said this - and its wrong because...' - dude you are twisting what he is saying. its driving me nuts!

most of the debate is about foreign policy stuff. its really interesting. good ol' oz only has a very small area of influence in the world....america has an impact on the whole planet. its crazy. i feel sorry for the people who run the US and have to deal with this stuff. and that the american people cant just vote for someone who will look after them at home, but also on an international level.

anyways overall i thought they both had awesome points. McCain definately knows his foreign policy stuff, though i think Obama is gonna be more diplomatic when dealing with problem nations and helping to garner respect from other nations around the world.
like the VP debate - i seriously believe anyone on the fence is gonna have a really tough choice.

It could be bias but the way McCain creeps around and goes up to the person who asked the question but then wanders back and forth....he is giving me the heeby jeebies. sorry McCain dude.

seriously these debates are a shocker...if you like McCain then you are gonna love what he says, if you like Obama you're gonna love what he says.
i dunno i feel like McCain isnt really answering the questions half the time.

hmm - 90% of what they are saying was already said in the first debate and i am getting annoyed with them both.

Back in March when I posted about Techtonik (odd lil dance craze that was popular in France last year) I think I included this video for Yelles song A Cause des Garcons (Tepr remix) because it was the first thing I saw with techtonik dancing, but DAMN I also loved the song - makes me wanna daaaaance (but not like those dudes - lol).

Well I cant recall how long after tha but I bought Yelles album Pop Up. Its all in french of course and I understand one word out of maybe 20 but i still love it!

One of the few songs I actually comprehend a LOT more lyrics for is Je Veux te Voir. Her first ever song was a shortened version of this and it was called Short Dick Cuizi and was taking the piss at some guy in the french hip hop scene called Cuizinier. haha

Yelles myspace also has a cool video (well i think) of her performing that song live! i love the crowd singing along!!!

My two fave songs on the cd are Tristesse/Joie and Amour Du Sol but for like 2 weeks after I got it I had the whole album on repeat on my ipod. I dunno why I am sharing after all this time. I guess I just wanna pimp the Je Veux te Voir vid some more. It makes me laugh.

Anyways she has a new vid out - Ce Jeu. I keep worrying as I watch it the one of her tops is gonna gape open and show her lil boobies. LOL! But yay - this vid has the boys - Grandmarnier who produced her album (he's on the drums and plays drums on her tours), and Tepr on the keyboards (he does the rest of teh music on her tours and did the AWESOME remix of A Cause Des Garcons! WOO!). Grand Narnier's a bit of a babe by the way! (check out his pics on myspace - i speak the truth y'all!! haha)


I am really depressed - she is doing an American tour right now and it ends DAYS before i get to North America - DENIED MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One night in the 90s some of the guys from REM were hosting Rage and one of them chose this song and I was just 'damn this is FANTASTIC!"' but i didnt catch the name of the song OR singer at the time and i had to wait AGES to see it again on Rage and find out who sang it.
When I did find out I went looking for her cds locally but the only album I found was Excerpts from a Love Circus (Puppet is on the album Happiness), and I ummed and ahed for MONTHS about buying it but when I did I LOVED IT and its still my fave album by her overall. But yeah - this song still wins as the most played LG song on my iTunes. :D

Okay I should be in bed but I am watching cool vids of Imogen Heap performing her songs live on youtube. Its so awesome!!

I actually bought her first album I Megaphone when it first came out....she was doing a promo tour in Australia and she was on one of the silly shows on the ABC on Saturday morning - Recovery maybe???? and she performed Come Here Boy and i was IN LOVE! I bought the album just for that song....in fact I listened to the album once, ripped THAT song to mp3 and ignored the rest. yeah - what a top fan!
Anyway most of the clips below are live performances (2 actual music videos) so maybe if you havent heard the studio versions you might not appreciate how awesome she can be....but I love how she can perform a song with just herself, a mic, computer and her keyboards. Chick is awesome!
