Decided to read this article after seeing the headline Smoke billows out over Sydney city centre coz YAY the city is burning to the ground!! ANYWAYS so this article which MAY get edited between now and when anyone bothers to click te link says the following "Westfield have yet to comment on the fire or its possible cause. " BUT further up in the story it has already EXPLAINED what happned. Why do the building owners need to explain something you already know wankers????????????

Aussie tourist attacked by bear at ski resort

Sadly its only media hyperbole.....damn!

The bear wandered into Whistler's Village Square, a popular site for tourists and locals, to look for food in garbage tins on Saturday.
"A crowd had gathered around the bear and was taking pictures," Sylvia Dolson, of the Get Bear Smart Society, told Vancouver's The Province newspaper.
"The fellow was in the way when the bear wanted to escape.
"He kind of got snagged."

They actually killed the bear in question. Ummm.....riiiiiight.
I'd just like to say to Canada if I get scratched up by a bear because I am a dumb arse please dont kill mr bear. kthxbai!

Australian Does Not Win International Award; Military Action Encouraged Against Uk For Ruining Our Party - article about the Australian medias drama llamas over aussies not getting an award they were nominated for...'cause if an aussie is nominated in a category at the Oscars/Emmys/BAFTAs/Golden Globes/CMAs/?? etcetc....its a crime against the universe man!!!!!!!!!
Of course we all know the Australian media is on monkey crack anyways because no one in the country honestly gives a damn.

But haha - the first paragraph cracked me up

If there's one Australian media tendency (aside from Angela Bishop continuing to be employed) that really gets to us time and time again, it's this odd obsession our press has with Australians being nominated for awards, and - inevitably - not winning them, and the accompanying moaning and wailing.

Yeah - poor ol' Angie Bishops tenure at Ten...I think her mum got them to write hera 30 year contract back when she had some cred in the Liberals when they ran the country and now they cant get rid of the woman! :D
