And so I have been youtubering again (seriously - its a verb!) and just looking at random stuff.

I like Muses music but I havent been 'zomgawd love them must KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM AND READ/SEE EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW' as you do...or I do at times (haha), but I've been checking out stuff a bit more about them and paying more attention to their posts on Twitter and stuff.
Seriously, up until last week I had only ever seen the music video for Uprising and the live vid of Supermassive Black Hole on the Twilight dvd. O.o

Anyways so I was just looking at goofy stuff on youtube and I got to see the whole clip of when Muse performed on some italian show last year where they were told they HAD to lipsync. gawd it cracked me up. I saw a snippet of it on some interview last week but its hysterical watching the whole thing. Dom can barely keep a straight face and Matt is just goofing off on the drums. Brill!

ARGH! Popsicles left the door open for a while the other night and now we have christmas beetles in the house. One just landed on my head a few mins ago!

Anyhoo - i have this weird pain when i breathe in deeply or twist the wrong way or lift things that are not really that heavy...its on my right side about 5cm above where i assume my kidneys are. Pain killers dont seem to help it much.

Hmm what else has been happening? I have been really lazy and unmotivated of late. Also moneys been pretty scarce so i cant go nuts buying xmas presents which i usually love to do. I have acquired an alarming number of new xmas songs on my computer though! :D
I am the only person in my house feeling the xmas spirit! I had to put up our ginormous xmas tree and everything!

Honestly - this isnt a Richard Armitage blog! It just so happens I feel like blogging about him quite a bit. :D

Anyways so I just watched ep 3 of Season 8 of Spooks. Now no spoilers apart from the fact that I started crying near the end y'all! More importantly what was up with the new tat on Lucas' wrist?? Am I totally blind and you guys have seen that sucker before or is this a real first sighting of it??

I may need to go back and watch every second of Season 7 again to check... :D

[edit] a few people on the AA forum went back and found a couple of scenes in season 7 were you can see that tat but its usually covered by his watch. Stupid watch wearing spy! :D

Anyways in non-Armitage blogging I am just gonna link this list of steampunk books here coz I LOVE the idea of steampunk but have really only read one book that would definately fit the category and I want to read more.

Man I really owe this blog some posts. I havent even reported in about Armitagefest 2009 on here! (this consisted of a dvd fest I had a few weeks ago that went for like 4 and a half days of me watching the Richard Armitage dvds i had bought - Spooks season 7, Robin Hood seasons 1 and 2 and any extras/commentary with Richard, and North & South).
Its crazy because THIS weekend i am planning to embark on Armitagefest 2009 part 2!!!! My parents - the wonderful DARLINGS - picked up season 3 of Robin Hood for me before they came home from the UK! That season hasnt even aired in Australia yet! WAHOO! Plus I also got the dvd with the George Gently ep he is in AND teh Miss Marple ep the other day - so another dvdfest is required.

But I do have some other stuff I wanted to share too but i guess i have been geeking out over on lj instead again!
So yeah - expect a bunch of posts....possibly with a tendency towards RA swooning. Apologies to you all!

hmm...what else has been happening? works plodding along as usual. savings are non-existant coz i fail! but well technically there is my stimulus check but the govt is made of fail and have somehow changed my records so my check has the wrong first name on it so i gotta get that fixed and i guess get the damn thing reissued because bank will not accept check with another name on it yo. stupid govt. have had this tax file number since my teens so how they suddenly have a new name on it is beyond me! ATO FAIL!

ohoh....things i have bought that contribute to my lack of money - Lost in Austen on dvd = LOVE! Tudors season 1 (only watched first dvd and i am getting epically pissed off with how the men use the women......jonathan rhys meyers pretty is the only thing keeping me watching). 3 books by C.S. Friedman - book 2 and 3 of the Coldfire trilogy and Feast of Souls. oh yeah got Twilight on dvd on the day of teh signing. and wasted money on eating out quite a few times with my chicas in the pic in the previous post. :D

been a bit crook this week. which is annoying. i am sick of getting dodgy upset stomach. pondering giving up certain foods....but i love food! DAMN YOU FOOD!

Anyways so yay - my birthday passed. Dad bought me a new camera - its another Canon Powershot...i forget which number though. But its shiny and works. Only bad thing is it creates the movie files as quicktime files and there doesnt seem to be an option to change it. ANNOYING!
Also I have noticed - all my other Canons seemed to have a slight yellowish tinge to the photos, this one has a slight reddish tinge. Just something I noticed.

I have now seen the first half of season 4 of Battlestar Galactica. HOW LONG TILL I CAN GET THE OTHER HALF???????????? NO ONE SPOIL ME!!!!!!!!!! FOR REALS!!!!!!!!!!! I KILL YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw all the eps that have aired of Dollhouse now.
Knew the chick who plays Sierra was an aussie as soon as she did aussie accent - americans ALWAYS fail at faking it so i KNEW she was a real aussie.

Paul and Echos fight scene was LOTS OF FUN! I LOVED IT!!! I dunno - it was almost as exciting as Spike and Buffys pre-sex fisticuffs. lols

I like the Mellie girl. Continue with that Paul....I shall endeavour to photoshop my face onto pictures of her in bed with you if I get extremely bored one day! mwahahahahhaaaaaa

Today is the AFL grand final. Channel seven has the entire arvo from 12:30 till 6pm blocked out for it. just when the hell does the actual game start?
(i will forgive them only because the have Predator on at 11pm tonight and i was feeling a serious urge to watch that last night - why dont i have that on dvd yet????)
i dont usually watch it but grand finals can usually be good stuff.....not that i get AFL....i live in sydney - sure we have the Swannies but i was brought up being tortured with rugby league.....or mother screaming rugby union is "the game they play in heaven" or some such.
most of the sports mad kiddies i know call AFL gayFL. yeah - so clever. :D

Anyways last night i was reading about that bank collapse in the US. Thats just fucking insane. How fucked up did their lending practices have to get for it to reach that state???
(I had been wondering what the fuck subprime WAS so i looked it up last night on wikipedia)
I do know that in Australia that in recent years banks have been mega pushy about home loans, offering people amounts that they probably really cant afford.....i hope this is a valuable lesson to you morons.

Anyways, I havent really been blogging about the other bg Titan job I know about - that ferry in the Philippines that capsized. There seems to have been some delays in the guys getting out there but they have finally started.
Some of the stories about a month ago seemed to imply that Titan are only going to be retrieving the toxic chemicals, but I have got the impression from more recent stories that they will help with the body retrieval too. How does a person do that as a job??? My brain can get around most of the other stuff they do, but that has got to be the worst part.
But I guess there are other jobs that have to do similar horrible stuff too....my grandfather told me once about how him and my uncle, who were in their local fire brigade, were amongst the first ones to a burnt out car crash near where they lived and saw the remains of the people in the car....and i was just freaking out as he told me about what they had to do but he goes 'you just deal with it'. arrrrgh......

Tra la la - my friends and I decided to go karaoke after work.
We NEVER do things spur of the moment like that - one of my friends is ALWAYS booked out so we have to plan things days or weeks ahead of time. So tonight was fun.
We are planning to go out for dinner tomorrow but we spent all day debating via email on where to go.....so silly.
Anyhoo - karaoke. As well as having all night happy hour rates because it wasnt friday or saturday, they had a deal where if you pay for 2 hours you get the third free....well OF COURSE we went for it! FANTASTIC!
Some tools in the next room were wailing badly and for the first 2 hours we were all singing nicely but hour 3 was ALL about drowning out the horror next door or trying to be louder than them so they could hear us. :D
We got out about 9:40pm so i told the guys i was gonna dash for the 10pm mountains train. I made it thankfully.
Got home after 11:30pm. By the time I had my shower everyone was in bed. I was hungry but unfortunately the soup I made the other day smells to me like its fermenting or something!!! ARGH! So I had to have sandwiches for dinner. *cries*

Did I tell you of the epic tale of my chicken soup? Okay its not so epic but Saturday night I made my truly AWESOME chicken soup. It takes two hours to cook to perfection and has chicken and random veggies in it and some noodles. It doesnt sound so spectacular but it really is! Its sooo good.
And for some reason this particular pot tasted just like my grannys soup which I havent had in years! <3333333333
Anyways I think i have only had 4 bowls in total....(if it hadnt gone dodgy there are at least 3 more bowls in the pot - DENIED).

Umm - I am in a chipper mood. I THINK its because one of my lesser minions is off for a week so i am covering for them and I get to do a job that i do love but dont get to do often because i more supervise the guys who do it. WOO!

Anyhoo - Can I gripe at the 4th of July holiday? Only because news about the Carissa has been almost non-existent because of it...maybe something will be up in a few hours (my time). Haha - and Titan have an office job in their Florida HQ that sounds like I could do in my sleep......WHY AM I NOT AMERICAN????????????? I would SO apply!

Hello interwebs. I have been quiet for a few days. I have still being dogging the web for stuff about my previous posts but not quite as hard core....plus New Carissa news has been quiet except Friday (my time) when there was a bunch of links related to the second jack-up barge moving into place. Dude the squealfest I had at work when i saw the Google Alerts...but then the whining because I wouldnt get to look at them till Saturday because I was going out that evening..... :D

Anyways I was meeting up with some friends Friday but before that I went and visited the new Apple store that had opened the previous evening in Sydney.

1) its shiny 2) on the ground floor they had all the different Macs available and you could just rock up and play with them (once someone else had moved because EVERY machine was in use MOST of the time) 3) the net connection is faster than mine at home (DAMN!)
It was so shiny and pretty and I would LOVE a Mac one day. I wanna play with that GarageBand program! That looks interesting!

Today (well yesterday NOW) I have been reading the His Dark Materials trilogy. I read the Northern Lights (aka The Golden Compass) before the movie came out but mum stole my omnibus so she could read it too so I couldnt read the other two stories for a while.
Its taken me a while to feel compelled to read again because lately I have been rereading The Farseer Trilogy (I am so in love with Fitz, The Fool and Burrich that I could hurl! I LOVE THEM PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Patience too - I think she is a darling. Molly and Kettricken keep pissing me off.)
ANYWAYS, so I finally finished the Subtle Knife today and started on the Amber Spyglass. GAH! I want to keep reading but dude the book is HEAVY so I dont want to cart it around to read on the train. So have to wait till I get home.

Anyways thats about all thats new with me. Thrilling eh?

Seriously...I should be in bed - I want to get to work an hour earlier tomorrow and dude - I am SO not waking up on time. BUT the salvage geekery continues. Have salvage dudes had fangirls before??? I apologise to you all!

Anyways, a few weeks ago I got my mum to read the Wired article that started all this and so I can ramble to her about it and the darling acts interested - go mum!
And I was telling my friend Maddison on Saturday night and she is my fellow sci fi/fantasy book reading co-hort and she pulled this book out of her bag by a guy named Clive Cussler and said if I want some fiction related to this weird maritime obsession then read some of this guys stuff. Sadly money hording Rebecca may have to hit the library to get some books. Too poor to buy atm.

I have to say I am sad that if you do a search for New Carissa on google you have to get to page 14 before my blog shows up, and page 8 if you search for Titan Salvage... T.T
But then no one reads this thing do they? :D

Oh hey - I walked across the Harbour Bridge and over to Wynyard station tonight (well last night now) and the only dramas was my usual Achilles tendon pain! Shocking! Usually I get weird semi-numbness from my feet to my knees followed by other charming pains. SO yeah - was pretty pleased. And even teh Achilles tendon pain would sometimes disappear if I rolled my foot a certain way. AWESOME!
If it will just stay rain-free a bit more in the evenings I will try and do it more often. I definately prefer walking the bridge in winter - there is no sun or evil heat torturing me.

In other news - channel seven are reairing that stupid Playing It Straight show - i swear that Campbell guy went to my high school for a while.

Okay - its now 1:35am - I am going to sleep.
