I probably should have posted this a few days ago or even last weekend but the dramas with my PC meant I had to load the pics to mums computer, then upload them to facebook and then come over and save them again on the mac in PNG format so i could upload them to this blog (for some reason whenever I try to upload a pic to this blog it doesnt work unless the images are in PNG format).

But YAY! Last Saturday I went to the second Big Day Out show here in Sydney. Muse was the only act I really wanted to see and the two other acts I was vaguely interested in seeing - we got in a bit late so I missed the first one, and then the other one where they were playing there was almost zero shade and it got to 42 degrees on Saturday so after waiting for a bit for them to start (in that time I went and got my water bottle refilled and i swear ten mins later the water inside was HOT) my friends and I had walked around for about 40 mins maybe an hour before we gave up and headed to the stands in the main arena area to await Muse.

Muse's setlist (thanks Facebook - though initially when they posted it they had the wrong set coz it had Resistance and the DID not play Resistance. I would have geeked out MASSIVELY if they did as its my fave song by them atm):

Anyways so I took some pics but I had borrowed mums camera coz mine is kinda bulky and didnt want to carry it into the mosh for Muse....but she has her settings really low so she can take MILLIONS of pics but the quality is shite. Gawd i was annoyed when i realised! But here you go. I have a lot more pics of me and my friends just vegging out all day on Facebook but its not that interesting so I am sharing the 'best' Muse shots.

Meeting up with my chicas! They took public transport, I got a lift with my sister.

Even with the noise and heat, there were plenty of acts we werent into so we were all dozing at some point....eek! Sorry bands!

I peer pressured my friends into D-section! WOO! Only Grace (the lil one) was brave enough to get closer though.

My poor friend Graces view...if you can call it that. Shes tiny. But she braved the mosh - the lil trooper!

May 1 went to see some alpacas at a farm.

The following day went to my cousin Rachel wedding down the coast

Instead of excessive blogging I decided to have a lil nap last night - ended up sleeping a good 5 hours longer than i wanted to...nice. We also had a power outage so I woke up and no music coming from the computer! So not right!
You know thats probably what eventually woke me up...my brain going 'hey dude - something isnt normal - wake up and investigate!! heh.

ANYWAYS - all is forgiven. The World Link has another new blog story but more importantly the champions have a new photo slide show! Some cool piccies!


Thats just a small bit of metal man.... ;D
But yeah - just think about how big the the New Carissa used to be next to those barges.....fracking awesome!

A few posts back I linked to a Youtube vid Cities at Night showing pics of cities taken from the International Space Station. There is now an article about the same thing with some new pics.

So I was disappointed when I watched the vid they didnt have Sydney in it, but that article has a link to this site - Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth with all the pics astronauts have taken of Earth.
I clicked on 'Find Photos' and chose the clickable map option. Shows you a map of the earth and I clicked the lil square closest to where I think Sydney was (was correct) then it lists all the photos taken of Sydney. I scrolled through the list till I found some that said SYDNEY AT NIGHT - SUCCESS:

She arrived yesterday. She SHOULD have arrived Tuesday, but the lamers who deliver packages in my local area keep taking them straight to the post office and saying they have left a postcard saying I have an item to pick up - but THEY DONT LEAVE A CARD! I am getting sick of it - this is the fourth package they have done this with!

Anyways her face up isnt what I asked for (the Yan looked more like what I wanted) but cant do much about it now. Was also supposed to get a wig and a skirt but it seems Dollfair forgot to put them in the box. *sigh*

Anyway - isnt she beautiful? I love her little face so much!! If I do end up saving enough to go to Canada - this is the doll who will be travelling with me!

Check out this cool pic of the Earth and Moon taken from Mars. The moon doesnt look that far away does it? haha
And it doesnt seem as small as you would think it seems compared to the Earth.

Anyways she doesnt have a name yet but I am gonna take her to work tomorrow and try and do some quality bonding and see if I can come up with something. :D

Had a busy weekend. Friday night my friends and I had dinner and did some more purikura which I am sending to the cast and crew of Supernatural. I may edit this post later to share the pics with you.

Saturday the family and I went down the coast, just past Nowra, for my aunties fiftieth birthday party. Was okay but omgawd are my relos breeding like rabbits or WHAT??? Little kids EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!1

On Sunday my sister-in-law wanted to go to the beach before we came home. I dont swim but I did have my doll Ella with me and I took some pics - this post includes two of them.
This second pic was a bit nerve racking to do as where she was standing was this lil rock about 30cm away from the edge of the water - so i had one foot on the rock and one of the shore trying to pose her so she wouldnt fall, then I had to jump back and shoot off a few shots before the breeze blew her over, PLUS she is make of pinky white french resin which LOOKS beautiful but has a tendency to yellow from direct exposure to sunlight so i was freaking about the amount of sunlight on her.

The whole time I was taking photos I had my umbrella with me. I must have looked pretty funny - the only person fully clothed, carrying a doll, camera and umbrella. Mum reckons I was a bit of s sideshow. Being half blind has its advantages I guess - I cant see when people are looking at me. hee!

I have been very tired the last few days. I guess because I didnt get my usual all day naps on the weekend. >.<

On Saturday my friends and I went out to lunch at a different yum cha place to our normal one. Afterwards we went and did some purikura.
The first round was klnda cool but we totally stuffed it when we were choosing the pics to print so we HAD to do a second round to make up for it. Here are the results of both:
