So I WIN!!!
i jokingly said back when i first decided on vancouver it was so i could stake out a Supernatural set to try and meet Jensen right? and i was joking.....but i was hopeful i might get to loiter near a set and maybe talk tosome crew.....not expecting to meet the guys or anything.

So anyways after i logged off i went to my room and one of teh aussie roomies said they were filming Supernatural across the st at the irish pub and they had been exploding smoke bombs and stuff... and i am all 'ARE YOU KIDDING???? THATS MY FAVOURITE SHOW!!" followed by some squeeing and me running out the door!

So i wandered over and there are all these vans and stuff and i was too shy to speak to anyone at that point. i took a few pics. but i didnt loiter because i felt weird.
I went to subway and bought dinner and went back to my room to eat it then i went back out and rocked over to the corner where the pub is. i worked up some courage and asked some guy if they were filming SON and he said yes and i asked where the guys inside and he was all 'i dont know anything about that' and wandered off. then a bit after that this noce looking chap looked at me and so i asked him if he was working on the stuff inside and he said yeah and i asked him what his job was and he said poduction assistant and i said thats cool. i cant remember if i said more to him then or later.....but later after they started packing up this other chick was with me and was asking him if he knew me and he said i was the aussie who had only been here a few days....so i told him at SOME point. i just dont recall when. ANYWAYS i am going too far into the future here...
so i notice these two girls standing at the corner and i realise they are SPN fangirls too! one is canadian and one was from new zealand and had been in the country four months. they had been there since 4pm. we ended up hanging for the duration and they were really nice.

some other crew peeps came and talked to us at various times and other not so hard core fans were loitering about too.

anyways we were there ages and when they finally called its a wrap we were all cameras out ready for teh boys and then the black SUV looking thing that was the boys transport - the driver started the engine and drove around the corner so we were walking down to where it was and tose lil BRATS ninja-skilled it over into the car before we could even take one picture......there were people and stuff in the way so i think i saw one of their legs ......GOD DAMNIT! so sad!!!

BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is the good bit!!!!! Jim Beaver who plays Bobby was shooting too and othe canadian girl had spoken to him earlier and so she went up to him and asked if the rest of us fangirlies could get a phptp ith him and he was super cool and friendly and chatted with us and stuff then he gave us each a big hug before he had to go. he was so nice.....damn i need to get my photos online so i can share!! i met Jim Beaver!! SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyways the NZ and candian girl hd to leave 1) they were frozen and werent staying across the st like i was. heh
but i ended up loitering around with this other canadian chick who wants to get into directing and she was pestering this nice production assiatant girl. we then loitered and chatted and watched the guys packing up - she was the one who spoke to the PA guy i had spokem to originally. we got photos of this sign post thing they had put up.....the bar is supposed to be in Iowa somewhere according to the sign.

so WOO! cross one thing off the things to do in vancouver list - and it was ONLY MY SECOND DAY!!! i hadnt even been in the country 24 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT!!!

anyways after taht i was cold so i went back to my room and lay on my bed listening to the ipod. i kept dozing off so i changed into the pjs and went to sleep - sometime around 10pm. woke up at 6am on the dot this morn!!
got up and took advantage of the free brekkie they serve here then spent the next 3-4 hours rotting thr brain watching tv in the tv room. then had a sghower and got dressed. then watched a bit more tv. and now i am online.......cery shortly gonna go get some dinner. may or may not go to comedy night thing thats supposed to be on. i am kinda tired.

am craving easyway like you would not believe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SPN 3.01 The Magnificent Seven
Magical iTunes Store shared this ep early and I was SO excited. I tried to download but iTunes wouldnt let me switch to the US store because I have credit still on the AU one - DAMNIT! But naughty friend got it and shared it with her friends so i scored the ep early and watched it Thursday night AU-time, so WELL before it aired in the US - SWEET!

Anyways I recall my thoughts on the ep only too well because Fandom Rocks had asked for fan contributions to make a podcast about the ep so I ended up recording myself as I watched it. LOLS!
(My comments about the ep which are a rambley version of what I am about to say here, plus an edited down minute and a half of my reactions to teh ep are in the podcast - SO EMBARRASSING!!!)

Anyways - the ep and my thoughts.
My favourite thing - even though I thought Dean was acting like a tool was all the comedic Dean moments. I was totally cracking it througout the ep.

I have seen the next ep now so I know more now, but my main responses to this ep were:
~ girly seems kinda like a Slayer a bit. heh (those blonde locks - oh so Buffy, but attitude - definately like Faith). But I was all 'what the hell is she using? COOL! I want one of those!'
~ The Magnificent Seven? Pretty lacking in the magnificence department!
~ Dean is acting WAY too cavalier even with the whole 'one year to live' thing. And despite what he said at the end of the ep about being tired and theres now a light at the end of the tunnel (because yo - being tortured in hell is way more relaxing than spending your life hunting demons) i was thinking 1) he is worried about what the YED said about Sammy not being the good ol' Sammy he knows and loves, 2) he does feel a bit guilty about the deal he made and the burden that has put on Sam (like he felt when John made the deal for Dean) - but also he has to live with Sam being pissed about this....and he KNOWs that aint gonna be fun. heh
~ PRIDE!!! Dude - what Pride said to Sam. i was all WHAT THE HELL??? The few fan reviews I saw didnt even mention it but I was all OMGAWD!!! In the podcast I read out what he said and then was all with the questions 1) YEDs superpower kids and Sam is last one standing, but Pride implies that Sam is super important - WHY IS SAMMY SO IMPORTANT??? 2) who the hell was the YED that he could have made other Demons bow to Sam??? 3) and what the hell did he have in store for Sammy if the YED had survived?

Overall I didnt love the ep that much other than Dean-silliness. I am not sure what it was, but I wasnt feeling the SPN-love. It was an okay ep, but I was worried because I was hoping for a killer ep that would suck some newbies into the show and I dont know if that ep would have done it.

Fast forward to today:

SPN 3.02 The Kids Are Alright
My thoughts arent quite so clear as I only just watched it, BUT OMGAWD! FRICKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The whole Changelings thing was your standard cool creepy-creature thing. Pretty groovy. (I actually have a non-horrorish story idea about Changelings that has been festering in my head for like 10 or more years so i was all 'ooh - cool'). The most eww moment for me though, was when the dude fell on the saw at the beginning. But I have said it before - takes a lot in the horror stakes to get me. :D

But OMGAWD 1) the awesome of Dean and that kid. Seriously - i love Jensens acting skills. The freak out at the kids party when he thinks the kid might be his, the bonding with the kid, the end bit where FINALLY some real Dean moments where he is talking to Gumby-girl about recent events and you can see he is thinking about the life that could have been and feeling regretful that he will never have it. OMGAWD you nailed it so good Jensen - I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!1 haha

AND THEN - NEW GIRL REVELATIONS! OMGAWD OMGAWD!!!!
And thank you writers for going straight for my questions about Sam!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now THAT was what was needed to suck in newbies totally!!! Season arc set up RIGHT THERE!!! Sam has a way to save Dean - but he has to work with the not-so-good guy! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude, i have to calm down and try and record these thoughts for the next Fandom Rocks podcast - but dude right now I am WAY too excited!! I cant wait for more!! DAMNIT!

So yeah - in conclusion - to anyone who watches the first episode of the new season of Supernatural and you arent too impressed, pls to be waiting for ep 2 - its awesome!
And if you disagree you are a bloody moron who need to be slapped! :D

btw - I will probably be posting some of my reactions to watching SPN Season 2 dvds soon. I am halfway through. I havent posted anything about it on lj yet, but have been typing stuff up in notepad...so yeah - more SPN coming your way shortly! I know I have SO many readers who care! :D
