Woman with HIV pleads for IVF baby
I read the headline for this article and i was like ‘ooh – i dont know about that’ but then i read the article itself and it says they can do it with only a very slight chance of the baby becoming infected, and i thought ‘well fair enough’.

one part of the article said “Similarly, the question of whether the child would have a higher chance of being orphaned earlier would be a factor.” but the point is that the woman has a partner who she doesnt want to infect through unprotected sex, so that is why she is asking for IVF, so the baby wont be an orphan – it will still have a dad whenever it’s mother dies. and hey – who know when a cure for HIV/AIDS will appear? mum could be cured and end up dying from some boring old thing like a stroke at the age of 70.
